
Now that summer is upon us I hope that everyone is eating more locally grown fruits and vegetables. Please try to support your local farmer. While I always recommend eating organic whenever possible, it costs more and for some people it is not possible. However, a friend of mine told me she couldn’t afford to buy organic but she goes to Starbucks twice a day and always has gorgeous designer bags and shoes. What woman doesn’t love a good handbag? I do too but would hope that what you put into your body is more important. Love, respect and be kind to your body by feeding it good quality food even if you have to sacrifice something else. Your body will be grateful! Below I have listed what is referred to as the “Dirty Dozen”. These are the 12 fruits and vegetables that are the most heavily sprayed with pesticides and chemicals so if you are on a budget and have to pick and chose when buying organic food, I encourage you to make sure the 12 listed below are always organic. In addition, if you eat meat try to buy only grass fed meat without any hormones or antibiotics.
